Diet Programme for Calves with Diarrhoea H&L have developed a dedicated diet programme. As soon as the farmer recognises diarrhoea in a calf, this special diet programme is launched. In line with its nutritional physiology, the calf is then given alternatively the diarrhoea diet ration (electrolytes) and after a break, a reduced amount of milk ration. After 3 days the calf is given its regular diet again.

Optional Liquid Additives Doser With this accessory, you can add e.g. formic acid to control coliforms or other liquid medication to the milk powder diet.

Two Mixers for Two Feeder Stalls For more than 30 calves, the installation of a second stall is recommended. With a second mixer bowl, it is not only possible for two calves to drink at the same time, but also to feed simultaneously two rations of different composition, prepared individually for each calf.

Four Stalls for Maximum Capacity The solution for maximum productivity! The throughput with four stalls rises by 50% to 70% as compared to a system with two stalls. This set-up allows managing up to 100 calves.

Stall with H&L Calf Weigh Scale H&L weigh scales offer optimum growth and health control (e.g., with the alarm list ‘Weight loss compared to yesterday’). The calf weigh scale is an easily installed and cost-effective upgrade to the standard feeder stall version.

Concentrate Stall with Load Cell for Feeder Bowl A maximum of two concentrate feeder stalls can be connected to every feeding system. They allow dispensing an exact quantity of concentrate to calves in the course of or after the milk diet. With this system, calves' pirating the quantity allocated to another calf is a thing of the past.

Versions with One or Two Powder Dosers to Choose from A maximum of two different powders can be dispensed individually for each animal with the H&L 100. Cough powder for coughing calves, electrolytes for calves with diarrhoea. It goes without saying that both dosing units can be removed in a second and can be cleaned easily (e.g., in the dishwasher).

The Powerful Standard Version It offers all the advantages of the H&L feeders and is the inexpensive first step towards state-of-the-art feeding technology. Later on, it can be upgraded with all available options. The H&L 100 Calf Feeder in its standard version is shipped with an automatic first-timer programme to get calves used to drinking. It is of course weather-resistant and frost-proof through to the teat.
