H&L DUO-Verandah

This new concept allows forming two lots of 7 calves each in one H&L DUO-Verandah. Thus, smaller operations too have the possibility to work with calf lots of different ages and husbandry targeted to each age. The fully solid separation fencing means that both calf lots are almost completely separate.

Two MultiMax Group Houses can be moved and cleaned individually. For ridding it of manure, the proven principle of a portable pen on wheels is used. The calves remain locked up in the Verandah and the exercise area is moved to a new location with the help of a tractor.

The depth of a 7-animal MultiMax Group House is 2.9 metres, in order to offer the animals sufficient shelter in case of strong wind. High temperatures are taken care of by a ventilation shutter at the rear of the structure. The Box is made of UV-proof fibreglass plastic.

The shutter can also be used as an easy access to add bedding to the rear area of the igloo. For ridding it of manure, the MultiMax Group House can be lifted with the central suspension rail. As an optional extra, a hay rack is available for the ventilation shutter.

The H&L DUO-Verandah also offers you total flexibility in terms of feed fencing set-ups. You are absolutely free in your choice of how to equip and set up the head fences.

The maximum efficiency of the H&L DUO-Verandah is obtained by dividing the Verandah area into four. With four MultiMax Group Houses, this set-up is a H&L QUADRO-Verandah. This set-up too allows forming calf lots of 5 to 7 animals each.

Of course, the MultiMax Group House is also available with a simple exercise area equipped with a feed fence, but without roofing.
