Modular Set-up for Flexible Extension

The H&L Igloo System's three modules, Basic Module, Straw Storage Module, and Extension Module, can be combined in any configuration. The system can be extended at any time. The modular set-up allows taking into consideration to the fullest extent the farmers' specific demands, various capacities, and the situation on site. All modules are installed under a roof. This roof is composed of a trapeze-mould metal sheet with one-sided plastic coating supported by wooden posts set up according to a 5 x 5 m (16' x 16') grid.

The first module of such a set-up is always the Basic Module. It has large overhangs on both sides and both ends, thus ensuring maximum protection from wetness for the H&L Igloo System. The dimensions of the Extension Module correspond to those of the Basic Module and it is used to increase the capacity of the H&L Igloo System. Including a Straw Storage Module is recommended to ensure that bedding material can be stored dry and that it is easily at hand when additional spreading is required. This module is also the place where an H&L 100 Calf Feeder can be integrated into the system.
